Blocks are only handed out after breaking a rule / multiple rules 3 times. This can change based on what rule was broken. You will most likely be reminded on your talk page the 2 times before you get blocked. The list of moderators can be found here: Radiohead Wiki:Staff Breaking a rule will result in a moderator messaging you on your talk informing you of the rule. If you think the rule was false, please contact the staff member on Discord (seen on the right hand side) or on their Talk. Everyone has different perspectives, so please contact a moderator if you have issues with them.
Every rule has a 3 strike system to getting blocked. After you get blocked, your warnings will clear. Block lengths will usually start at a week based on the offense. As you get blocked more times, the length of your blocks gets longer.
Based on the offense, moderators may not warn and straight up ban you. This is mostly only for trolls or sockpuppets- so it most likely won't happen to you.
(Please read the Manual Of Style before you edit.)
Rules for Everyone:
Discussions and Editing:
- You have to be over 13 to register an account on Fandom. You will be blocked indefinitely or until you turn 13.
- Due to Fandom's Terms Of Use, you cannot ask a user their age.
- Trolling will get you immediately banned. If you're here to vandalize or be in anyway harmful, or disrupt anything, you will be blocked with no warning.
- Don't spread misinformation. Please don't spread misinformation. If it is on a page, it will be counted as vandalism and lead to a warn.
- Listen to what moderators tell you. If a moderator tells you to stop doing something, please stop. You can message them and ask them to clarify, but still try and comply.
- Don't use more than one account without permission. If you need permission to use more than one account, please message a moderator. This also applies with bots.
- This is needed in case you get blocked. If we catch you using an alt while blocked, both accounts will be permanently banned.
- Use appropiate usernames/profile pictures. Putting pornographic materials, hate speech, anything referencing others, or just anything distracting will get you banned until you change it.
- Don't link to anything that breaks rules. If you link to anything that breaks rules, you will get treated as you posted that yourself.
Editing rules
These apply to wiki pages, userpages, and files.
- Do not vandalize. Vandalism is putting in gibberish, misinformation, broken code, or removing correct information, images, and categories. Vandalism disrupts the wiki and editing, and we will revert any vandalism and take action against any user who vandalizes.
- Don't create unnessesary articles. These are counted as spam.
- Do not edit other's userpages. Unless given clear permissions, userpages may not be edited by other users except when staff members have to remove content that breaks rules.
- Don't add Template:Blocked to users that have been blocked unless you are a moderator.
- Don't remove talk messages off of people's talk pages. You are allowed to remove messages on your own talk page.
- Don't add Template:Blocked to users that have been blocked unless you are a moderator.
- Do not post adult content onto this wiki. Despite the target audience for Radiohead's music, this wiki can still be viewed by anybody. Anything that includes drug, offensive content, or pornogrophy will be deleted.
- The only exception is if it is offical material. (Example being a lyric from a song)
- Any artwork that is meant to sexually arouse will be deleted.
- Cropped or censored porn will also be deleted.
- Files with any urine, feces, blood, or vomit will be deleted.
- The only exception is if it is offical material. (Example being a lyric from a song)
- Upload files with appropriate names. Make sure the names of the files you upload conform to the rules.
- Please no profanity in file names.
- Replacing files should only be done to increase resolution or betting quality.
- Please don't start, or get involved in edit wars. Moderators just want everybody to get along. Edit warring is when 2 (or more) users keep constantly undoing each others edits on a page. To prevent one, report the situation to a moderator and they will sort it out. The page may be locked for a period of time.
- Edit warring to undo harmful edits will not result in a warning.
- Use templates properly. Banned, Stub, Delete templates are only meant for people who have been banned, stubs, or pages that need to be deleted.
- Misusing templates is vandalism.
Talking rules
- Don't spam. Spam is posting over and over and flooding wiki activity. Spamming is to be blunt, very annoying and you will get warned for it.
- Don't necropost/necrobump or spam upvote. This also counts as spamming.
- Swearing is allowed; but words that go into the categories shown below aren't:
- Slurs
- Words with a sexual connotation
- Sexually implicit (alluding to) and Sexually explicit (showing directly) content is not allowed. Showing direct sexual content will get you banned permanently.
- Don't harass or discriminate towards others. Single instances of insulting, and attacking a user is considered disrespect and will earn you a warn/severe punishment based on the things said.
- Please don't discriminate based of. race, creed, color, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, identity, disability, or plight. This is a lot but just be kind to others.
- Racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ableist or any offensive remarks will earn you a ban even if not directed at others.
- Don't ping others without a good reason. If a person opted in to getting pinged, you're replying to them, the post is talking about them, or the user is a moderator and you need them to clean up spam/ handle a situation, it is okay.
- Pinging more than one person without a good reason will get you two warnings.
- Do not minimod. Telling vandals to stop is allowed. Bossing people around and acting like you're better than them is not allowed.
- Do not feed trolls, though. This will make them do it more as they get a reaction.
- Try to use English content. This wiki is in English, so please use English content.
- Do not beg for moderator. A moderator has most likely read over it, so please don't beg for it. This makes you so much likely to get moderator.
Users with moderator rights:
Even though you have moderator rights, the rules still apply to you.
- Use your powers correctly, and in good faith. Blocking is preventative, not punitive.
- Be humble. Don't be aggressive towards users. Instead, calmly discuss with them.
- Don't punish for no reason. Blocking users for no reason or putting extra protection is frowned upon and your permissions may be revoked and you may be blocked.
- Block with a reason. Blocking is meant for a user to prevent harm towards the wiki. Leave a detailed given reason, especially if the block is over 1 month.
- Make clear statements. Everybody should be able to understand you.
